FortBux house rule: soft 17

On FortBux the dealer hits soft 17 (Ace + 6). Soft 17 can count as 7 or 17. Tables that stand on soft 17 play differently. Remember this when you decide whether to Hit or Stand.

Card values

  • Number cards are face value.
  • Face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10.
  • Aces count as 1 or 11.
  • Going over 21 is a bust and you lose that hand.

Tips

  • Start with small bets while you learn the table.
  • Soft hands (with an Ace counted as 11) can often take another card more safely than hard hands.
  • Hard 11 vs a weak dealer upcard is a common spot to Double when the table allows it.

Fairness

Supported rounds can be checked with FortBux’s provably fair tools. See Provably fair games explained.
